How It Started
Hello! My name is Jessica Sloan. I am a native Austinite who grew up in Southwest Austin. I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Theatre.
Growing up, I was always drawn to the entertainment business. After graduating college, I worked on a very independent film that led me to the Austin Film Society. That's where my career truly began. I was an intern in the summer of 2004 and never looked back. I also interned for Detour FilmProductions and Troublemaker Studios.
After my time at TMS, I discovered my true love of working with actors. I worked at Beth Sepko Casting and Third Coast Extras. I worked on many productions, learning the ins and outs of what is needed on set. I also learned what it takes for an actor to be booked on a project.

At the same time I was working with Beth, I found Heather Collier from Collier Talent Agency. I started as an intern at Collier and worked my way up. I left after almost seventeen years of working there. As much as I loved being an agent, it was time to find my passion. I discovered that I enjoy teaching, which led me to open this business.

I am guest-speaking at multiple universities and acting studios around Austin. I'm also in the graduating class of 2024 for the Hispanic Austin Leadership Program with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors as Secretary for Women in Film and Television Austin.
