Well, we’re in the middle of a very exciting legislative session, and House Bill 4419 is looking incredibly promising for the Texas film community. If passed, this bill would expand our production incentives, making it more attractive than ever for projects to choose Texas over other states. And this isn’t just happening quietly behind closed doors—major Texas-born names like Taylor Sheridan, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid, and Glenn Powell have shown up at the Capitol to advocate for these changes. That's how passionate people are about keeping stories rooted in Texas soil.
Let’s not forget our homegrown icons like Richard Linklater and Robert Rodriguez, who have consistently chosen Texas as their creative playground. They've proven time and time again that you don't have to leave the state to make something iconic.
